Reference · App Store Connect
Every App Store screenshot size
The exact pixel dimensions App Store Connect accepts, for every Apple platform. Uploads that do not match one of these to the pixel are rejected.
You almost certainly need only two of them
App Store Connect scales a screenshot down to every smaller size in its family. So for an app that runs on iPhone and iPad, the whole requirement is:
iPhone 6.9" 1320 × 2868
iPad 13" 2064 × 2752
Upload a smaller size only for a listing that deliberately skips the largest one. Everything below is what Connect will accept — not what it asks you for.
The rules that cause rejections
- PNG or JPG, RGB, no alpha channel. A transparent pixel is the most common silent rejection — screen captures of a window often carry one.
- Exact dimensions. Not "about right", and not a scaled-down retina capture that lands a pixel off.
- A Mac window capture is almost never a valid size. Including the title bar, a 1440 × 952 @2x grab is 2880 × 1904 — four pixels too tall. It has to be composed onto an accepted canvas.
- Apple Watch: the same size must be used across every localization.
- Between 1 and 10 screenshots per display size, per localization.

The app behind this page
Doing this by hand, in every language, every year
The sizes move when Apple ships a new device, and a localized listing multiplies each one by the number of languages. That is the job Storeframe does: design once, export every accepted size, translate the headlines on the Mac, and upload to App Store Connect without leaving the app.
